Roma
I love Paris. Rome is a close second. At the ruins of the Roman forum.
Pumpkin Face
Here's my jack o lantern for this year. The bottom and top picture are two days before halloween and the middle picture is about a week later just before it was stolen out of my garbage can. Savages live in Oakville.
The bottom two pictures aren't really good but I like the effect of the first one.
Casa Loma
Just some shots of a friends wedding. A fantastic place to get married. I don't know why eccentric millionaires always build ridiculous castles in the middle of cities then go bankrupt shortly after but hey, let's all enjoy the beauty of the craziness.
Flowers
I like to garden a little. Although I'm more into trees (japanese maples I'm obsessed with) you just can't beat shooting flowers. I know its easy to shoot inherently beautiful things but it still doesn't make the shots look any less pretty.
The tulip shot is from the Toronto Garden Show. Really awful lighting and I was using the old Canon A80. So the effect turn out a bit due to the lack of decent lighting but the span of white tulips really picked up the minimal light and created a nice contrast.
The other flowers are from the Washington Zoo. Nice animals with fantastic gardens.
D.C.
First two National Museum of Art, third is unhappy gorilla at the Washington Zoo.
Around the TO
Here's a couple of shots from around Toronto. One is of the yellowest tour bus I've seen in the GTA and the other is a pic from Hitlon Falls area.
Capri, Amalfi Coast
Although I've been told that southern Italy is an economically depressed region compared to the north, I found it to be quite stunning with beautiful coasts and unique natural sights for this clueless tourist. I have to say the area around Pompeii, Sorrento, Isle of Capri and the Amalfi coast was one of my favourite places in Italy. It lacks the volume of famous artworks in the north and the romanticism of the tuscany region but it would be the first place I would return to in Italy.
This was my second day using the 20D, again the camera was carrying the team.
More New York
Some flawed shots that I thought were kinda neat.
Past Images
These shots were taken with my old Digital Canon A-80 with flip screen. On this trip to New York, I started to really enjoy photography. It was mainly due to the freedom from film costs that digital allows that let me shoot just for the fun of it.
These were 4 megapixel shots but I think the quality of the images holds up against the 8 megapixels of the 20D.
Of course, when shooting an amazing city like New York, it's easy to take nice shots.
